Registering Your Cat

According to UAE Law, all cats must be registered with the Municipality.

To be registered, your cat must be vaccinated against rabies and have a microchip.  Once registered you will receive a tag which must be put on a collar and worn by the cat at all times.  Any cat caught without this tag can be put down by the Municipality.

This registration must be renewed yearly when your cat's rabies vaccination is re-administered.  You can register your cat directly with the Municipality or with your local vet for a higher charge.  You only need to provide the cat's vaccination booklet with proof of an up to date rabies vaccine and the cat's microchip number; the cat does not need to be present for the registration.
